I think I was too taken aback by the beauty of the piece to initially realize that Tanti was grief- stricken. Once I read the background I got it and then was able to see it- not so much in the facial expression but in the way her "hair" is falling in pieces around her. LOVE this piece, it would be great as a painting or other type of art work- but its even more so amazing that its collage work. Go on wit ur bad self!

Thanks to you both for having a look and sharing your thoughts! I always find it fascinating what people see in the collages as often it is not what I intended. That new insight or new sight is just as valid and revealing to me.

It's something very disturbing about the eyes and mouth. The grief as Ingrid identified, unbearable.
